(More customer reviews)This style of popper has been around for decades. There is a stainless steel kettle suspended from the roof of the cabinet, with a stirrer, and you put the kernels inside to heat in the oil and then spill out when the lid lifts.
The sides are tempered safety glass panels while the doors are polycarbonate plastic. You use commercial popping oil (coconut oil based) that can take the high heat of the popper. The cleaning is relatively simple; the worst job is occasionally cleaning out the windows as they get a bit greased up. There is a drawer to hold the unpopped kernels.
This is reasonably priced enough for a splashy home theater or for a boys and girls' club. Charitable organizations and businesses might even consider it for carnivals, convention events or fair trailers for selling popcorn or giving bags away as a promotion.
