(More customer reviews)If you want a coconut oil to take as a supplement for health reasons, go with an organic virgin coconut oil. If you want a healthier oil for cooking without the coconut taste, LouAna's coconut oil is great. I used it for frying, as it does not leave the finished product all greasy. It also makes excellent theater-tasting popcorn in my whirley pop. I contacted LouAna because I was concerned about "how" the oil was refined. They replied saying they do not use chemicals in the refining process, only filters and heat. While it's most likely less expensive to buy a refined coconut oil in bulk quantities from various businesses on the web, I can buy this at Walmart or HEB and I do not feel that it is any less quality than the other refined coconut oils.

(More customer reviews)This is good popcorn, I have purchased before in Hawaii. I was happy to see that I can order online. However, I purchase the 20 pack and they overstuffed the box. There is no bubble wrap or any type of wrapping around the individual packages before they put it into the box. They choose a small box that can barely fix all twenty packages. It is overstuffed to the point that the box is no longer squared, but rounded somewhat. The postal service does not treat the package with care, so when it arrived, there was a wet stain. When we opened it, two packages had been damaged, and the butter leaked all over all the other packages. We had to spend a long time washing all the packages, because they are all greasy. The greasiness does not wash off easily even with soap. Now when eating them, some of the other packages of popcorn got water in them because of the washing, they are not air-tight packages. So when popping them, there are a lot of unpopped kernels. They should use bigger boxes and wrap it better.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this to use in my popcorn machine. I was uneasy about how the kettle would handle this product, but since I have a great kettle cleaner I went ahead and ordered it. I am sure glad that I did because this is FABULOUS! It leaves no mess in the kettle at all. When it starts to pop the first kernels that come out are the best coated ones and then as more pop they get less coated, but if you mix them all together I think you get great flavor. Just remember this is a sticky coating when it first comes out so unpopped kernels stick to the popped ones so watch out for those. Still a great tasting product that I will keep purchasing... It is very sweet, but I love it all the same.

(More customer reviews)I have tried many brands of popcorn. This is the best tasting of all. In fact it is identical to the movie house popcorn. Just salty enough and just the right touch of seasoning. That is why I would give it five stars. But here is the problem. It pops large plump kernels. When I first used it in my 8 ounce popper half the kernels would not pop. But when I measured out half portions and divided the package into two portions and popped them separately most all the kernels popped. This means you have to use half measures of oil, seasoning and popcorn. Apparently the large kernels take up too much room in the popper. I think it is ironical that the company calls this the "Pefect" portion pack. It is anything but that. I tried to e-mail the company but they never returned my e-mails. Actually the hassle of dividing the portions is worth the quality of what is produced in the long run. That is if you have the patience.
