I couldn't believe it when I saw it in the health food store. I decided to take my chances and try it and boy am I glad I did. NO REGRETS! (sometimes you buy something that is supposed to be healthy and you wish you hadn't spent the money cause it just doesn't compare to the real thing)
As soon as I tried it, I knew I was going to be buying this for life. I made a fluffernutter sandwich and honestly, you would never know it wasn't the real thing! The color is a slight off-white in the container, but the TASTE is soooo delicious, who cares about the color! Besides, when you put it on the peanut butter, it automatically looks whiter. (I only mention this because I noticed how much whiter it got when I made the sandwich)
Seriously, this is a hidden gem in the health world! I can't wait to try it out in some recipes.
I did put it on some popcorn the other day and it was sooooo yummy! I had bought some microwave popcorn that I just didn't like and was not planning on ever finishing the other 5 packages.......it was that disappointing. Well, then I remembered the ricemellow creme and thought hmmmmm, popcorn balls maybe. I did not form them into balls, but it was perfectly delicious on the popcorn!
I ran out of bread and am wanting a ricemellow peanut butter sandwich like you wouldn't believe. I'll never go back to the sugar brand as long as this is available. Especially since sugar is my enemy. I just can't have it.
Ricemellow creme is truly something to try if you love marshmallow creme. Enjoy! I promise you won't regret it!

As soon as I tasted one and it tasted like a corn chip I checked the ingredients. The name is deceptive - these have "Masa corn flour" listed in the ingredients and it overwhelms the taste. I won't buy these again - I can get Sunchips for less money and similar taste.

These cakes have the same look, texture and taste almost the same as a regular rice (not popcorn)cake. Products like this are dime a dozen and had I known they were almost the same thing as everyone else's rice cakes, I would not have ordered this. What to do when your favorite product cannot be found and seems to not be duplicated by anyone else? Such a simple, delicious idea, don't know why other companies don't make them.

My daughter has a severe milk intolerance and I have a wheat allergy - and it's rare to find something delicious that we can both have. The online product info doesn't say either way, but the package, once you receive it, does warn that they're made in a facility that also processes wheat. As someone who does fine with corn but is allergic to wheat, I had a violent reaction to them. They taste good, but they're definitely not for anyone who needs to avoid wheat; that should be prominently stated in their description.

(More customer reviews)I originally bought a bag of this popcorn at one of those expensive "natural and organic" food stores (you know the one) and the price is much better here -- though, of course, you have to buy 12 bags. NO PROBLEM! I love this stuff! It tastes very fresh, the amount of salt is just right, and there are fewer inedible hulls than in many other brands. Normally, I'm the sort of person who insists on having butter on her popcorn, but this is so good I don't even miss it. Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)I have been using nutritional yeast for years, almost every single day, and it not only tastes great but is incredibly nutritious. Our three year old son loves it, and especially likes sprinkling it on pasta--I think he feels empowered, and little does he know that he's literally sprinkling nutrition on his food.
You can sprinkle this on popcorn or other snack foods to impart a cheesy taste, add a tablespoon to smoothies, pasta sauce, bread, or just about any other savory food. If you're looking for a cookbook with recipes that use this, try The New Farm Vegetarian Cookbook. It's a little hipped out, but there's a recipe for nutritional yeast cheese that's pretty amazing. There's also The Ultimate Uncheese Cookbook: Delicious Dairy-Free Cheeses and Classic "Uncheese" Dishes, but I would try the Farm cookbook first.
Lastly, these are large flakes, but Frontier Coop online offers 1 pound bags of Nutritional Yeast "mini flakes" which have a finer consistency and sprinkle well from a container with tiny holes (like the kind used to sprinkle powdered sugar). Frontier's prices are also very reasonable, and they offer organic nutritional yeast as well.

It was great and much softer than the bagged or boxed types I had tried before. Tried making Orville R's microwave version and it was messy and popcorn turned mushy. I recommend this heated, I break them in half and warm on a plate in the microwave (about 30 seconds in mine). The result is a plate full of warm, gooey caramel popcorn. Just ordered my 3rd case!

Texture and consistency is a cross between rice cake, popcorn, and styrofoam packing peanuts, but good flavor and an all around nice snack and good alternative to chips or other high fat / high calorie type snacks. The review before is complaining about the amount of sugar in this popcorn but the whole concept of this snack is that its "the lesser of two evils". Its not going to be 100% healthy but if you're going to snack anyway, this is the better way to go.
